Welcome to the Whitchurch Town and Parish Plan Website
The Whitchurch Town and Parish Plan is a community led plan which was launched in June 2011. It is based on a detailed survey of local opinion undertaken over a two year period. It shows what the people of Whitchurch like about living and working in the Town and the aspects they would like to see improved and developed over the next five to ten years. A full copy of the Plan, together with a Summary, can be accessed and downloaded from this website. Printed reference copies can be consulted in Whitchurch Library, The Heritage Centre and the Civic Centre.

In a race against time, Whitchurch was proud to present their bid for funding to become one of twelve pilot sites to test a number of important recommendations in the Mary Portas review of town centres. The Whitchurch application was prepared by a Town Team partnership working with the Plan Implementation Committee.
Consultations for the Town and Parish Plan established that the people of Whitchurch want an attractive, vibrant and thriving Town Centre that provides a rich mix of retail, social and cultural activity to meet the needs and aspirations of residents and visitors.
